Bobby Sheehan
I'm a person in long term recovery. After multiple overdoses, going to jail and prison more times then I can count, and losing my father and brother to overdoses, on June 25, 2017, I walked into the Milestone Detox for my 22nd time as a patient. This time was different. For the first time since I was 14, I was no longer on probation. I did everything I was told. Instead of 90 meetings in 90 days, I did 210. I joined Bridging the Gap and went back to Milestone every Saturday for months. I lived at the Serenity House for 7 months where I became House Mentor and then House Leader. After being in recovery for 8 months, I moved into the sober house behind the Serenity House and was able to get a job at Milestone as a Shelter Attendant. Today, I am the Shift Leader at Milestone. I’m a Peer Support Specialist. I’m in a healthy relationship, and I am in a position to help other men who are in the same shoes as me.
